We are proud of our relationship with our Regional Champion Schools and are working to continuously develop up to date Regional Champion Case studies for each of them so you can follow their progress. In the meantime we have compiled this selection of studies that took place earlier in our relationship.

Cramlington Learning Village

Cramlington Learning Village

The school is well known for its long collaboration with ALITE (Accelerated Learning in Training and Education) in developing a Learn to Learn course which is used by 800 schools throughout the country. The introduction of tablets was therefore a natural step for them, enabling anywhere/anytime learning and supporting their enquiry based approach to learning.

Harrogate Grammar School

In March 2011 the school decided that the cost of maintaining computer suites was becoming prohibitive, especially as students were also experiencing difficulty getting good access to computers. A group of staff was tasked with looking at how they could develop a 1:1 programme in an affordable and sustainable way.

The Jubilee Wood Primary School story is not only a great example of how to set up a 1:1 programme but also proof of the overall benefits and some wonderful individual examples.

Writhlington School

Writhlington School

The school had decided on 1:1 devices three years previously and worked with parents, school governors, teachers and pupils to introduce the notion of the 1:1 device. The initial implementation was with netbooks but this was not a great success. However, the school believes that the introduction of the Netbooks at that time helped to prepare for a culture of 1:1 devices and, learning from their lessons along the way, they have now found reliable devices and refined the way they manage the programme with tremendous success .
