Creating the 1:1 school – the journey continues
Since September 2015 all 1500 students at Warden Park and all staff (teachers and support) have been using iPads on a daily basis to support, enrich and transform learning.
This event will describe how they planned and implemented our 1:1 scheme in Autumn 2013 and what we are now doing to sustain its development. It will give delegates the opportunity to see iPads in action and meet staff who have implemented the scheme and are now engaged in transforming students’ learning.
Warden Park are proud that our progress in this area has led to the award of Regional Champion School by the Learning Foundation for consistently demonstrating a successful, inclusive and sustainable 1:1 programme delivering a positive impact on learning.
As Learning Champions they are committed to sharing our experience and growing expertise with others. This event has therefore been planned to both inform schools considering 1:1 schemes but also to create opportunities to collaborate and share practice with others who have been on a similar journey.
They are confident that what they have implemented thus far has had significant impact but they are continuing to develop and refine our approach. The workshop leaders will be transparent in this respect and we hope to provide a refreshingly honest portrayal of the journey thus far and our priorities for improvement.
